How do I stop Always Listen?

Open Calex and turn off Always Listen from the dashboard or settings. You can also revoke microphone access in iOS Settings.

Where is my data stored?

Calex is local-first. Recordings, transcripts, summaries, todos, and history are stored on your device unless you explicitly use an external speech or AI provider.

Why does transcription or summarization fail?

Check microphone permission, network availability if you use a cloud provider, and the provider credentials or model configuration selected in Settings.

How do I reduce battery usage?

Use scheduled Always Listen windows, keep low-power behavior enabled, and avoid preloading large models unless you need immediate offline processing.
